Potters Paws

Terms and Conditions:

 

By digitally signing a Potters Paws form via "JotForm", you are deemed to have read and accepted our terms and conditions.

 

Booking Confirmation:

- A consultation with the client and the pet(s) is required before confirming any booking.

- The client must sign the form with full details of their requirements.

 

Payment:

- Payment for services must be made prior to admittance.

- Payments should be made via bank transfer 4 weeks up front.

- Failure to make payment within the specified time will result in a £2 fee per day until payment is received.

 

Booking and Payment for Dog Services:

- Clients must provide the required dates and make payment on the first day of the month for the upcoming month's booking.

- Dogs will not be booked for the upcoming month if dates and payment are not provided on time.

 

Client's Responsibility:

- The client must provide all necessary items for the pet's care in their absence, such as food, medication, leads, tags, collars, and cat litter.

- It is a legal requirement for pets to wear I.D. tags, and failure to comply may result in a fine of up to £5,000.

- Any additional supplies needed for the pet while in our care will be purchased and added to the bill.

- If a client's dog destroys any items owned by Potters Paws, the value of those items will be added to the client's bill.

- A spare key or code for a lock box is required for access to the client's property. If access is not possible, full charges for the service will apply & not be transferred. 

 

Emergency Contact and Veterinary Care:

- The client must provide the name and contact number of someone capable of making decisions for the pet(s) in case of an emergency.

- If the designated contact is unavailable, Potters Paws reserves the right to consult with a veterinarian and make decisions in the best interest of the animal.

- The client is responsible for any veterinary bills incurred while the pet(s) are in the care of Potters Paws.

 

Behavioural Problems:

- The client must inform Potters Paws of any and all behavioural problems with their pet(s) at the time of booking and throughout their time with us.

- Failure to do so may result in additional charges or cancellation of the contract with no refunds.

 

Insurance:

- While Potters Paws holds public liability insurance, clients are encouraged to insure their pets.

- Potters Paws reserves the right to refuse a booking for any uninsured animal.

 

Liability:

- Potters Paws will care for your pet(s) to the best of our abilities, but we cannot be held liable for any loss, injury, or death to a pet, or caused by a pet, inside or outside the home while in our care.

 

Dog Walking:

1. Booking and Payment:

- To secure requested dates, a 4 week non-refundable payment is required on the 1st of each month.

- Failure to make payment may result in your dog not receiving the requested dates..

 

2. Cancellations:

- Permanent cancellations of walks require a minimum of 28 days' notice.

- Failure to provide the required notice will result in charges for the cancelled period.

- Non-payment or refusal to pay may result in the client being placed on the DNWL (do not walk list) and future walks may be affected.

- Potters Paws reserves the right to pursue legal action for any outstanding bills.

 

3. Changes to Regular Walks:

- Changes or swapping of days for regular walks require a minimum of 7 days' notice, at the discretion of Potters Paws.

- Walks cannot be transferred to other days with less than 48 hours' notice, and charges will still apply.

- Multiple walks cancelled in the same week with less than 7 days' notice are not eligible for transfer.

 

4. Requirements for Dog Walking:

- Dogs must be fully vaccinated, including kennel cough, and on a flea and worm control regime.

- Unneutered bitches will not be walked off-lead or within group walks during their seasons.

- Uncastrated males will be walked on a trial basis, any aggressive behaviour or acting out may result in immediate contract termination.

 

5. Trial Period:

- All dogs will undergo a 4-week trial period to ensure they are adequately trained and socialized.

- Potters Paws reserves the right to cancel the contract immediately if the dog does not respond well to the walker or other dogs with no refund.

 

6. Timings:

- Potters Paws cannot guarantee a specific collection or drop-off time for dogs.

- If any walks are cancelled due to timing by you, the client, these walks will not be refunded.

- Walks may be shortened or adjusted due to extreme weather conditions for safety.

 

Pet Sitting, Care & Visits:

 

1.Booking and Payment:

- To secure requested dates, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of consultation.

- Full payment is due 4 weeks prior to the date of admittance.

- Failure to make the final payment may result in the cancellation of the stay without a refund.

 

2.Cancellations and Payment:

- If dates are cancelled less than 4 weeks prior, full payment is still due and not refundable or transferable.

 

3.Client's Responsibility and Damages:

- The client must provide all necessary items for the pet's care during their absence.

- Any damages to Potters Paws property or belongings will be charged to the client's bill.

 

4.Biting History and Emergency Contact:

- If a pet has a bite history or is prone to biting, additional visits may be required before the stay.

- If a pet becomes aggressive or bites the sitter, Potters Paws may leave the property, and an emergency contact should be available to take over.

 

5.Vaccinations and Behavioural Problems:

- All pets must have up-to-date vaccinations, including kennel cough, and be treated for fleas and worms.

- Any behavioural problems should be communicated at the time of booking, and failure to do so may result in additional charges.

 

Pet Taxi:

 

1. Booking and Payment:

- All bookings require a 50% non-refundable deposit, with full payment due 48 hours before the taxi service is required.

- Cancellations must be made more than 48 hours in advance; otherwise, the full rate will be charged.

 

2. Veterinary Appointments:

- Clients must notify the veterinary surgery that Potters Paws will be attending the appointment on their behalf and arrange payment.

- Clients accompanying Potters Paws during transportation do so at their own risk, and Potters Paws is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or delays.

 

Photography:

- All photographs taken by Potters Paws are watermarked, and all rights are owned by Potters Paws unless otherwise disclosed.

 

First Aid:

- Potters Paws holds an up-to-date first aid certificate and is authorized to carry out necessary procedures or administer pre-approved medication.

 

Updates and Changes:

- Potters Paws reserves the right to update and change the terms and conditions as needed, so please check regularly for updates.
